Monika’s parents got separated when she was just three years old. She was mentally traumatized due to the constant fighting in the family and had been under the care of her uncle, who himself was not able to make ends meet. Someone in her neighborhood directed her to Good Shepherd Orphanage. Monika is an outstanding student. Every day she helps care for the 91 year old blind widow who also is sheltered at the orphanage.
